The aircraft will turn around each of the figures first to the right and then return to the left side in this way the 6 passengers located on both sides of the plane will be able to enjoy a panoramic view from their respective windows of each of the figures. Wine and Pisco Winery – In the morning after breakfast at 10:00 hrs we will start the second day of tours on the coast of Peru. We will move away from the sea and travel 1 hour and 30 minutes to the city of the “Eternal Sun” Ica. We will first visit an artisanal winery called “Cultur Pisco” where the spirit called PISCO is distilled (this has different flavors and alcohol levels) and they also make their own wines (they make sweet tasting wines like muscatel, mass wine) there will be a visit with an English-speaking guide and there will also be a tasting of the different drinks they offer. These wineries are popular because they also offer regional cuisine which is highly recommended. 20 minutes further south, another winery with an industrial character is on the list: “Vista Alegre”. This refers to the use of European machinery for the process of obtaining the must, as well as the use of high-capacity containers for the fermentation and classification of the wines, all of which is controlled by specialist oenologists who highlight the production of Pisco and wine from this company.
The explanation will be in English inside the factory and there will also be a tasting in the winery bar of the wines and Pisco that they produce derived from the vine shoots adapted to the hot climate of Ica that have their own names and also from vine shoots brought from Italy, France, and Spain. After the tasting, we will go to the Oasis of America called Huacachina, located about 15 minutes west of the city.
It is a paradise and a special place without comparison, considered the only Oasis of America. There will be time to take a walk around the lagoon and then take a spectacular tour in the popular Dune Buggy into the desert where you can see wavy dunes, capricious landscapes, high dunes, craters, abysses and all this completely in an immense sea of pure sand. Being in the afternoon this ride lasts 2 hours and there will be the option to take advantage of the sunset that will give us the best photos of the landscape.
After this adventure ride we will return north towards Paracas where we will spend the night and finish the second day of the tour (hotel not included)
Ballestas Island -07:40 hrs We will pick up the passengers in the car from the hotel lobby (check-out will not be necessary) to go about 3 minutes to the pier from where the maritime tour to the Ballestas Islands will begin, this ride is very exciting full of emotions because you will make contact with marine fauna from very close. A few minutes from the departure of the pier will begin by making a panoramic view of the geoglyph called “El Candelabro” located in the northern part of the Paracas peninsula, a figure full of mystery that can only be seen from the air and from the sea the guide on board will give the information and when we arrive at the Islands they will be full of sea lions swimming and others still on the rocks resting waiting for the sun’s rays to fill themselves with energy and venture into the sea in search of food, there will be penguins of a single variety these are quite small because they belong to those of the Humboldt current these are differentiated by carrying an arch of black feathers on the front of the body. You will be able to see different varieties of resident and migratory seabirds, all of this depending on the season. It will be very easy to identify the starfish and crabs that are stuck to the rocks and serve as food for the sea lions. On certain occasions you will be able to find mines with schools of fish and above them a cloud of birds trying to feed, also with a little luck you will be able to see common bottlenose dolphins. These islands were once large deposits of Guano (natural fertilizer) rich in minerals for exclusive use in agriculture. After touring around the islands we will return to the dock to end the maritime tour and we will go to the hotel to check-out at 10:15 hrs.
Upon leaving the hotel we will store our luggage in our vehicle and begin the land tour to the other part of the Paracas Natural Reserve, here the desert landscape is totally different from that of Huacachina. We will leave with an English-speaking guide to see the desert by the sea where you will find fossils, beach viewpoints, the Isthmus of Paracas, the famous red beach with wine-colored sand and a yellow desert. A lunar landscape full of craters, ferrous sand dunes and places to see birds.
